COVID-19 Update: Keeping your supply chain moving

Written by Crossflight | Apr 1, 2020 3:00:04 PM

Crossflight continues to monitor the development of the Coronavirus COVID-19 situation closely and how it affects the services utilised by our clients.

We continue to see a number of actions taken in different countries including border closures and general lockdowns. These understandable measures have significantly impacted the airlines’ capabilities and we have seen a significant increase in flight cancellations.

We are utilising our network of carriers but these cancellations are resulting in a general reduction in capacity and the costs of these operating carriers has increased. As a direct result of this, Crossflight is following the industry in applying an Emergency Situation Surcharge for all consignments sent through our Express Courier services.

This Emergency Situation Surcharge will allow us to cover part of the operating cost increases and the necessary adjustments during this period.

These are unprecedented and exceptional circumstances and whilst Crossflight and the world watches the situation develop, we will monitor the situation and adapt accordingly.

The surcharge can be viewed here and will automatically be added to your current shipping rates with Crossflight with effect from 1st April.

We are still able to collect from your workplace, home address or collect and receive deliveries directly from your suppliers in order to support your own business and the collective effort to keep our industries trading.

We can produce all shipping paperwork and arrange collection and delivery through the services which your company chooses Crossflight to manage.

We appreciate that this will be a challenging time for all concerned but should you require any shipping assistance we ask that you email cs@crossflight.com or call us on 01753 776000 and our Client Services team will do everything possible to assist you.
