Fuel Surcharge

July Fuel Surcharge
June Fuel Surcharge

In line with other operators in our industry, and as a direct result of the volatile price of aviation fuel, we were forced to introduce a new fuel surcharge with effect 1st May 2003.

The surcharge is based on the monthly average spot prices for Kerosene-Type Jet Fuel for the U.S Gulf Coast area, as published by the US Department of Energy.

There is a 1 month delay in the application of the index. For example, in any year the monthly average price for fuel in June is used to determine the applicable surcharge in August. This is due to the release dates of the data.

Crossflight reserves the right to change the fuel surcharge index and table with or without notice. Both the amount and duration of the surcharge will be determined at Crossflight's sole discretion.

The fuel surcharge is not applied to Crossflight Mailing Service accounts.

Emergency Situation Surcharge

We are utilising our network of carriers but cancellations are resulting in a general reduction in capacity and the costs of these operating carriers has increased. As a direct result of this, Crossflight is following the industry in applying an Emergency Situation Surcharge for all consignments sent through our international Courier services.

This Emergency Situation Surcharge will allow us to cover part of the operating cost increases and the necessary adjustments during this period and applies to international shipments from 1st April 2020 and will be in addition to any other charges specified in our surcharges document below:

Chargeable Weight Charge Amount
Up to 2.5 kg No Charge
up to 30 kg £2.25
up to 70 kg £13.50
up to 300 kg £45.00
over 300 kg £180.00
Australia / New Zealand - All weights £0.90 per 0.5 kilo

These are unprecedented and exceptional circumstances and whilst Crossflight and the world watches the situation develop, we will monitor the situation and adapt accordingly.

Other Surcharges

Under given conditions, Crossflight levies a surcharge for exceptional activities, including but not limited to out of area deliveries, dangerous goods, shipments containing batteries of any type and shipments which exceed standard weights and/or sizes. Crossflight regularly evaluates all such charges to ensure they remain fair for all our customers.
